And this definitely is true for all Santas!

Two important things to know about having a good Santa Suit:
- When wearing your suit you will feel different and more in character. Often a Santa can truly feel the change as he puts on his suit.
- Your image, as Santa, is a key to reinforcing a child’s belief that Santa is “Real!”
That means his presentation or image must be as realistic as possible. And this is whether you are real bearded or traditional bearded, or wearing a costume shop suit, a home-made suit or a custom made suit.
Back in the 1990’s there were only two major companies making Santa Suits. One was Santa and Company, started by Charles W. Howard and now owned by Sam Militello. The other company was Adele’s of Hollywood.
It just so happened that I lived and worked in Southern California and I met Adele’s owner, Theresa at an annual Santa Luncheon in 2001. Many of the Santas at the luncheon purchased their custom suits from her and I learned that she, and her daughters, Nadya and Jonelle, sometimes made up to 600 suits a year for malls and professional Santas.
