Here is the full Alaska Cruise schedule
Saturday, June 12th – Fairbanks Princess Lodge – Alaska’s “Golden Heart City” of Fairbanks is a great introduction to the heart of this unique state. Check in to your hotel and get ready for the beginning of your adventure.
Sunday, June 13th – Fairbanks Princess Lodge – A full day in Fairbanks gives you time to get a feel for the unique culture and history of the region. Depart the hotel on a coach bus and heat to the dock at the Chena River. You’ll take a cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat down the Chena River then enjoy a
Gold Dredge 8 tour with the chance to pan for your own gold. A hearty miner’s lunch is included.
Following our return to the hotel, around 4 pm, a second Coach bus is being arranged, to take all interested to the Santa Claus House at North Pole, Alaska. Santa’s House is one of the largest Christmas Stores in America, definitely in the region, and a great place to shop. This is not part of Princess Cruises and the bus cost is just $25, round trip. The evening is at leisure. Sunset is close to midnight.
Monday, June 14th – Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge – This morning, say goodbye to Fairbanks for the spectacular trip to Denali National Park via motorcoach. You’ll be welcomed at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 2-night retreat.
Check in with the Guest Service Desk for help in planning your own Denali adventure like a husky homestead tour, river rafting, glacier flightseeing or an off-road ATV adventure. Or you may enjoy the spectacular main lodge, river view deck, and Princess Village with the popular Christmas cottage and sugar shack. Be sure to check out Fannie Q’s Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader, or sit outside at a fireside patio.
Tuesday, June 15th – Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge – Start your morning with a quick stop at Fannie Q’s saloon for a hearty breakfast. Explore Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour, watching for glimpses of North America’s tallest mountain and Denali’s “Big Five,” moose, caribou, bears, wolves, and Dall sheep. Later, you may want to simply relax with a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the Nenana River. Visit the Grizzly Burger or grab a slice at Lynx Creek Pizza.
Wednesday, June 16th – Denali to Anchorage (Whittier), Alaska – This morning you will board a private Princess Rail car to enjoy a scenic rail journey from through some of the best wilderness in the Great Land on this exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service. Once in Whittier, you’ll step from the train and board the Island Princess for the beginning of your unforgettable cruise.
